Canakkale is a beautiful town which makes a perfect base for when visiting the Gallipoli battlefields.

On the Asian side of the Dardanelles Strait is the charming, vibrant town of Canakkale which will be the perfect base for your time spent on the Gallipoli Battlefields. Situated on the seafront this friendly town has much to offer – museums, old forts, boutiques and plenty of excellent restaurants and bars all along the seafront - there really is something for everyone.

A short ferry journey connects the two shores of the Dardanelles. Departing from the port of Canakkale across the Straits to Kilitbahir the ferry journey makes a very pleasant start to the day.

You will be staying in one of the most comfortable hotels of Canakkale - the 3* Kervansaray Hotel.
